Bristol's Baptism

On July 14, Bristol was baptized.  We heard a very good sermon from Rev. Spriensma based on Psalm 37:3-5.  We asked for that text since it was our wedding text!  It was a very good reminder that we are to trust in God and commit our ways to Him in all our areas of our life, even though its not always easy.  We were so thankful that our families were able to come and witness the baptism with us.
After getting home from church, we learned that our great grandmother, Grace Bouquet had passed away that morning.  It was very sad to hear the news, but at the same time, it is a time of rejoicing that she now is in heaven safely with our Father.

When we got together with my parents the day before Bristol's baptism, my mom had ordered this cake.

As a tradition, my mom bought Bristol her baptism dress. It was very pretty on her!
