It's already been a week, but last week Wednesday, June 5, at 11:33pm, we were blessed with a precious and healthy little girls, Bristol Jo. After going to a dr. Appointment in the morning with Joel, I had a high blood pressure reading (which was then later fine for the rest of the day) and then didn't do so well on a non-stress test, my Doctor thought it'd be best to be induced that day. We were sent home for an hour to get our things together and have a light lunch and then were ready to head back to the hospital. The whole labor and delivery went well. Bristol was born with some fluid in her lungs and tummy so they had to drain her of that, but other than that, she was a very healthy baby weighing in at 8lbs. 13oz. and 22" long (however, at her one week checkup, she was measured better and was only 20 3/4" long).
We came home from the hospital on Friday. It was absolutely priceless when we got home to see Anna and Alayna interact with Bristol. They were, and still are, so motherly to her. Anna couldn't wait to hold her again and Alayna was more than willing to share her blank ice with Bristol, which is her most prized possession.
Yesterday, Bristol went in for her one week checkup and did so good. She weighed 8lbs. 6oz. and measured 20 3/4" long. We will go back in for a 2 week checkup next week.
Overall, Bristol is such a good baby! She is showing to be more of a content baby than Anna and Alayna were, so hopefully that will keep going. Either way, we are so thankful for this precious, healthy little miracle!
